Letter from South Africa I recieved an email from Steve, a south african who owns a Cheetah and uses it for photography there.  I thought it was very good information as it pertains to safety and really thinking about our decisions when faced with a situation.  I have included it in it's entirety.  I hope you find it useful. . Theft Alert!!!!! - Quicksilver Stolen from 93C Richland Center, WI On or about May 22nd, this beautiful aircraft, N582VB was dismantled and stolen from a locked hangar at the Richland Airport, Richland Center, WI. The N-numbered ELSA Root tube is # 0927, it has a 582 Rotax 167 TT, Large Radiator, 12 Gallon fuel tank, Ceramic coated Lifetime Muffler, 3-blade Warp Drive Prop, Full instrumentation, strobes, Cessna-150 tires on 6"Azusa Rims, Clear coated tailfeathers. Randy is a high school teacher, and uses this aircraft for summer aviation courses. Please help him bring this homesick bird back home. Midwest Sport Aviation, LLC

Midwest Sport Aviation, LLC was founded by 3 brothers. We got together as partners because we enjoy airplanes, flying, and spending time with others with similar interests.  As children we grew up going to Oshkosh with our Dad who is a commercial rated pilot, so sport aviation has been a part of our lives for quite a while.   The increasing costs of fuel really makes Light Sport Aircraft and the Cheetah a good option due to the low fuel consumption of these aircraft.

It has been a major effort to get it done but I want to express my thanks to Rainbow aircraft, The milwaukee FSDO who assisted us in the process and all those involved.  I am very pleased we have acheived the certification of the first Cheetah in the United States.

I want to thank all those that stopped by for the eaa airventure 2009.  We were located right next to the Light Sport Aircraft Mall.  We had an excellent response from those visiting our booth and we appreciated the time spent talking to us about the Cheetah.  We are currently in the final stages of flight testing and look forward to finishing up the certification shortly.
